Happy Thursday everyone! I hope you are all having a wonderful week. It's been a little hectic in my nook of the woods as school is nearing an end for the semester. On top of all the craziness going on with school I am also preparing for a trip to Italy at the end of June to present my research at a conference! I am super excited but have so much to do before I leave.
Enough about me and on to what you came here for, My Thoughts Exactly Design Team Thursday! Today I have a fun birthday card I made for my brother whose birthday was on Sunday...I have yet to mail it >.< I'm a bad little sister :) So brother, don't read any farther! You'll be getting your card soon I promise!
I used the sketch this week over at Card Patterns, #161 and this card by Lenae of Sugar Gem as inspiration.
Here is the Card Patterns sketch:
I used stamps from the new Mini Thoughts set. Seriously if you haven't picked up your April release stamps yet you NEED to get on that ASAP, they are a must have for everyone!
The rocking airplane paper clip is from Amy Tangerine, I'm a nut for airplanes (really anything that flies) if you couldn't tell by my blog title :) I used patterned paper from October Afternoon's Rocket Age collection (my new favorite besides EP's Springtime) and We R Memory Keepers. The black ink is charcoal chalkboard glimmer mist. I used a paint brush to drip the glimmer mist all over the card and then held the card up to let excess ink run, I thought it looked like spilled oil. I also grunged up the gear and bolt with distress ink in various brown tones.
It's an easel card and on the inside is one of Lenae's skinny slider files!
And there is a fun little birthday greeting behind the slider. I used white embossing powder to make the sentiment pop against the bright blue. Ok one last look before I send you off to the My Thoughts Exactly Blog for more inspiration.
Well I hope you enjoyed my card today. Now, head over to the My Thoughts Exactly Blog and check out all the other design team inspiration.
Happy crafting!

Hello Sunshine
Hello everyone! It's been a bit quiet around here this last week or so...I've had a nasty cold and have had zero energy to do anything. I'm finally starting to feel better so I thought I'd pop in quick to show you a card I made for two challenges. Yes two, I know that's a little crazy :)
I also so used the Mojo Monday #236 Sketch for the layout.
Here is my card.
Happy crafting,
Jessica
The first challenge is the Runway Inspired Challenge #9 - Preen Fall 2012
It has been so long since I've been able to complete a RIC on time! I just love the colors and the flowery pattern in this dress.I also so used the Mojo Monday #236 Sketch for the layout.
Stamps are from My Thoughts Exactly More Mini Thoughts set, twine is from the Twinery, and the flower card is from October Afternoon.

If you have arrived from Jennifer's blog you are on the right track if not be sure to start from the beginning you don't want to miss anything. April's release is a must have in some form. There are four total sets being released and they fit so many occasions you for sure need to buy at least two if not all four! That will make more sense once you see them. Ok are you ready to see them? I won't make you wait today ;)
Introducing:

Ok are you ready to see some projects? Yup I said PROJECTS!!
The first card is a fun little birthday card I created using the Big Thoughts set. The paper is from My Mind's Eye Lime Twist Life of the Party collection. The little epoxy circles were created using Echo Park's Playground paper and an Epiphany Craft's shape studio. The eyelet edge punch is from Stampin' Up! as is the ribbon.
The second card is super fun! I used the new skinny pop up slider svgs from Sugar Gem. These SVGs are the perfect combination of pop up cards and zipper cards. All the patterned paper is from Echo Park's Country Drive and Playground collections. The twine is from the Twinery and the little epoxy circle is from Epiphany Craft's shape studios, I just used the title from the Playground paper to create it (I hate to throw anything away!).
When you pull on the little play epoxy the sentiment is revealed. I used the More Big Thoughts sets for this card.
Last but not least I have a fun little gift card holder card that I have been dying to make forever! I used two sets for this card, More Big Thoughts and Mini Thoughts. Here you can really see the difference in size between the Big and Mini sets. The designer paper is from My Mind's Eye Lime Twist Life of the Party collection and the twine is from Trendy Twine. The coffee cup was a set I got at Achiever's awhile back, it came with the instructions to make this gift card holder. Where is the gift card well untie the twine!
It's inside the cup! How fun is that?!? Now it's kind of hard to see in these pictures but I ran the cute little cupcake sleeve through my paper crimper and then flattened it out some before adhering it to the card.
Here's a better angle to see the crimping.
That's all I have for you today, now hop on over to Kendra's blog. And remember to leave everyone a little love for a chance to win the entire April release!
Happy crafting,
Jessica

Happy Spring!
Happy Thursday everyone! Today is design team Thursday at My Thoughts Exactly. I have a fun little card for you today that showcases the new Easter Greetings set. Even though the set is called Easter Greetings it really can be used for anything spring related! So I'm going to show you a non-Easter related way to use the set :)
Isn't it just fun and bright? If you didn't already know the Springtime collection from Echo Park is my favorite paper line right now. All of the paper is from the Springtime collection, yes even the card base :) I just love the colors and designs, they go so well with the Easter Greetings stamps too! I also used some Stampin' Up! pom pom , Trendy Twine, and a few Epiphany Crafts shape studio flowers to embellish. The card is a standard A2 but it folds over on the right hand side and is held closed by a little twine and a brad. The sentiment is stamped on one of the journaling cards in the Springtime collection. Here is what it looks like open.
I'm not really sure who this is going to yet so I left the inside blank. Be sure to stop by the My Thoughts Exactly blog to check out all the other design team creations today!

No Peeps Chocolate Bunny!
Hey everyone! Remember how I promised you a zipper card last week? No, ok well I did :) Anyway my spring break turned in to marathon days in the lab and spending as much time as I could outside in the fabulous 70 degree weather! Yes it was in the 70's, possibly 80 one day, up here in March!!! I have to say I'm not sad to see Spring come a little early to us this year :) Anyway, I finally finished my card and thought I'd pop in to share it with you. Before I show you the card so you remember the commercials with cows holding signs saying eat more chicken? Well I have been playing those over and over in my head this week as I made this card...that should explain it's quirkiness a little :)
Isn't it cute? The little peeps are disguised at chocolate bunnies and they are protesting against the eating of peeps, "no peeps chocolate bunny" Oh boy I hope this is funny to someone besides me because I think it's pretty funny! As you may know the zipper card zips open to reveal a message and this is what it says: "Easter" (in that little epoxy circle that is really hard to see in this picture >.<)

And underneath "Another egg-scuse for chocolate!" I just love how this card came out! All the paper is from Echo Park's Springtime collection. The little peeps are a Free-Bee from SVG's by Bee. The zipper card is from the lovely Lenae of Sugar Gem. Finally all those adorable little sentiment stamps are from My Thought's Exactly's Easter Greetings set.

Slider Card 'Instructions'
Did you see that cute little slider card I posted earlier? I've gotten a few inquiries about how I made it and I wasn't looking forward to trying to explain it as I was hoping the lovely lady who designed it would post it :) Well, the lovely SugarGem, who designed the card, has finally posted it on her site with a YouTube video to show you how to put it together! You can purchase the file and watch the video here! You should also check out her amazing zipper files here, I should have a card using this file up this week if all goes as planned :)

Welcome Spring Blog Hop!
Hey everyone! I hope you are having a fantastic week so far. Today is the start of my SPRING BREAK!!!! It just so happens to fall on the day of the Welcome Spring blog hop with the SVG Attic design team and any customers that wanted to join us. How awesome is that?!? I am so happy you stopped by today and I hope you get just a little inspiration from the hop. If you just happened upon this post you defiantly want to start from the beginning to catch all awesome projects. If you have arrived from Nicole's blog then you are on the right track! For the hop today everyone is featuring the Welcome Spring collection. Just in case you get lost along the way here is the full lineup:
Teachdanz.blogspot.com <- You should have come from here.
***** Craftyrktsci.blogspot.com ***** You are here!
Our2angelsinheaven.blogspot.com <- This is your next stop.
As I said everyone is using the Welcome Spring collection but you never know what everyone will combine it with! For my project I also used the Tent Cards, Birds and the Bees, and Easter Elements. Are you ready to see it? :)
Well what do you think? I think it came out pretty cute. I used the flower card from the Welcome Spring set to create the window in the tent card and all the flower accents. The peep friends are all from Easter Elements and the clouds in the background are from Birds and the Bees. I flocked the peeps for added texture and of course added a little trendy twin :) Do you see that cute little sentiment, "Hangin' with my Peeps"? It's from the new My Thoughts Exactly Easter Greetings stamp set! I thought it was the perfect sentiment for this card.
I hope you enjoyed my card today! Now head on over to Lisa's blog.

Springtime!
Ok so maybe Spring isn't here quite yet, I sure wish it were! As I type we are under a winter storm warning and will be for the next few days, boo. Well today is my design team day for SVG Attic and I'm bringing a little bit of Spring to my house with my project. I used the Fun Favors and Easter Elements sets to create this cute little candy holder.
Isn't it cute? I am loving the fun Spring colors. All the designer paper is from Echo Park's Springtime collection, in fact that little Springtime sentiment is the label from one of the sheets of paper :) It just happened to the perfect size for my candy dispenser. The twine is all from the Twinery and the rest of the paper is from Michael's.
So are you wondering what's inside? Well it is my favorite Easter candy...
Cadbury Mini Eggs!!!!! I always get so excited when they first appear at the store. My excitement has gotten a little smaller now that they make them for just about every holiday. I do refuse to buy them until Easter so it is at least still a special treat for me :) As I'm sure you can figure out the candy dispenser is from the Fun Favors set, the tulips and the grass are from the Easter Elements set.
I hope you guys are having a wonderful weekend so far! Be sure to stop by SVG Attic to pick up the files I've used today and while you are there be sure to check out all the new sets for St. Patrick's Day and Easter, there just may be a super cute Peeps box that I have BIG plans for!

Muted colors...
Good morning and happy Thursday to you all! Today is another Design Team Thursday with My Thoughts Exactly. Today I have a project that I started making for another design team and then it evolved into something completely different than I was thinking. I added a few (ok maybe a lot) of MTE stamps and I just couldn't wait to show you, so I'm sharing it today. I used the Many Thanks set from MTE along with SVGs from several different places, I'll to list them as you look through the pictures. Now I must warn you the colors are much more muted than what I usually work with but I kind of like how it turned out.
The rainbow, clouds, and hearts are all from SVG Attic. The card design itself is from the wonderful Lenae of Sugar Gem. If you have seen a card like this before here or over at Sugar Gem then you know the image in the window rotates. Can you guess the colorless rainbow turns into?
Ok so that was a little obvious maybe. Neither of these pictures show it very well but the clouds and all the little grey hearts are glimmer misted. As the colors were all muted I kept the colored rainbow muted as well by using my watercolor pencils and blender pens to soften the colors. Are you wondering where the MTE stamps are yet?!? Well here they are!
OMG I just realized the scallop circle that rotates is the wrong way in this picture! If you had rotated the colorless rainbow to reveal the colored one the hearts should all be upright >.< Well anyway, all those cute little hearts as well as the 'thank you for being my rainbow on a cloudy day' sentiment all come from the Many Thanks set. I am sure you are all getting sick of seeing this sentiment but it is one of my favorites. I have been having a terrible week so far, nothing at work had been going as it should, and no matter what when I get home Mr. Crafty Rocket Science can always put a smile on my face. Here's a close up of the sentiment and the 'balloons.'
Those cute little clovers are also from SVG Attic. In fact all the little hearts on the front are from the cutouts in the clovers, I just couldn't throw them away. The twine is all from the Twinery.
Well that is all for me today. Don't forget to stop by Benedicte's blog and Kendra's blog to see what they have created today. Also be sure to stop back on March 1 for the March stamp release!

Conversation Hearts...
Good morning everyone! I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. It has been a nice relaxing one for us. I did a little, well actually a lot, of crafting. Today is my design team day at SVG Attic and I am in love with this project. It started out as a much smaller project and before I knew it there were 41 different elements cut out and assembled! So I won't make you wait any longer (be prepared for picture overload):
Well?!? This turned out better than I expected. The basket and little heart boxes inside are from the Heart Shaped Box collection, the roses are from the Be Mine collection, and the butterflies are from the new Valentine Elements collection. Each of the strip weaved in the basket and the handle are stamped with background stamps. The light pink strips and the handle are stamped with a SP and Company and the dark pink strips use a stamp from October Afternoon. Here's a look at a few of the heart boxes, any guesses of how many there are?
Here's a little close up of the roses and butterflies, there are 3 of each on both sides of the handle. Both are spritzed with glimmer mist (my new found obsession...).
There are 4 colors of heart boxes inside and each of them is stamped with conversation hearts from My Thoughts Exactly's Candy Heart Stamps. In case you are wondering each of the hearts has a different message on it, none of them are the same! All the little boxes are tied shut with Valentine Trendy Twine.
Here are all the kraft heart boxes.
All the pink ones.
All the read ones.
And all the white ones.
Ok did you keep count? Well there are 28 in all!
Have you asked what's in all those little heart boxes yet? I promise they are not empty, any idea how little they are? Well here is the answer to all of those questions...
Each heart box has a little dove chocolate heart in it. As you can figure out everything is pretty tiny for this project. The basket is approximately 6" x 6", the roses are about an inch in diameter, the butterflies are also about an inch, and the candy heart boxes are just under 2" big. I could never have imagined cutting anything this small before my Zing arrived!
Well I hope you enjoyed today's project. Be sure to stop by SVG Attic and pick up all your favorite files. Oh yea there just might be a 50% sale going on right now through Valentine's Day!
Happy crafting!
