No Peeps Chocolate Bunny!

Hey everyone! Remember how I promised you a zipper card last week? No, ok well I did :) Anyway my spring break turned in to marathon days in the lab and spending as much time as I could outside in the fabulous 70 degree weather! Yes it was in the 70's, possibly 80 one day, up here in March!!! I have to say I'm not sad to see Spring come a little early to us this year :) Anyway, I finally finished my card and thought I'd pop in to share it with you. Before I show you the card so you remember the commercials with cows holding signs  saying eat more chicken? Well I have been playing those over and over in my head this week as I made this card...that should explain it's quirkiness a little :)

Isn't it cute? The little peeps are disguised at chocolate bunnies and they are protesting against the eating of peeps, "no peeps chocolate bunny" Oh boy I hope this is funny to someone besides me because I think it's pretty funny! As you may know the zipper card zips open to reveal a message and this is what it says: "Easter" (in that little epoxy circle that is really hard to see in this picture >.<)
And underneath "Another egg-scuse for chocolate!" I just love how this card came out! All the paper is from Echo Park's Springtime collection. The little peeps are a Free-Bee from SVG's by Bee. The  zipper card is from the lovely Lenae of Sugar Gem. Finally all those adorable little sentiment stamps are from My Thought's Exactly's Easter Greetings set.

Happy crafting,
Jessica

Fang-Tastic Blog Hop Day 4!

Happy Monday everyone! I know this is a little late but it's the last day of the Fang-Tastic blog hop so I have to post something right? Well there is one Fang-Tastic sponsor that I have yet to showcase...any guesses?

SVGs by Bee!!!! I used the Big Love Bat from the Bee Witching collection for this cute little card.
All the stamps are from My Thoughts Exactly and rumor has it there are only a few sets left so you better hurry and get them while you can!
Isn't he cute with his little Trendy Twine bow?!?

I hope you have enjoyed the hop. It was a blast to show you all the projects. Your last chance to enter to win a shopping spree at The Digi Bistro is to leave me a comment telling me your favorite project from the entire hop. Don't forget to come back tomorrow to see if you won!

Happy crafting,

Boo!

Hello again! I know two posts in one day that's unheard of from me :) I have two more projects I've been working on. The first is a card that I created using the challenges at Our Creative Corner (wonderful windows) and CAS-ual Fridays (fall paper piecing).
The window is actually made from acetate paper and then wrapped in Chocolate Truffle Trendy Twine to look like the muntins (yes I had to look that word up). The sentiment stamp and leaves are from Stampin' Up.
That cute little pumpkin pile is from SVG Attic's Pumpkin Patch set.

And the second is a fun little tag for the This to That challenge over at Cher's Studio. Cher is the owner of The Digi Bistro, yet another SVG shop that has super cute designs. Here I used one of the FreeBees over at SVGs by Bee along with a few $1 stamps I got at Michael's. There is of course some Orange Licorice Trendy Twine attached.

Have a wonderful week and happy crafting!

Seriously I don't think my head is attached anymore...

So I made this really cute card last week using files I bought from SVG's by Bee and Bee even put up my pictures in her gallery!!!! Oh yea and it was a contest to see who could email her pictures faster and I won the file of my choice, so be on the look out for more SVGs by Bee! So, I kept wondering why no one had commented about it on the blog, I mean I thought it was a pretty cute little card...helps to actually post it (yup I didn't think to check until today :P). It's just been one of those weeks this past week. So without any further ado here is my little hello card:
Isn't it cute? The frames around the kitty are from the fancy frame and shape set.
I popped the top layer out to give the card some depth, I was going for a bee teasing a kitty from outside the window look...
That little kitty is from the Pumpkin has a surprise set.
And that cute little fuzzy bee is of course the fuzzy bee! I cut the curls on the wings out of vellum and then sprayed them with glimmer mist. You can't see it in the picture but the black parts of the bee are also sprayed with glimmer mist...it is much cooler looking in person I promise.

Ok enough about me go check out Bee at SVG's by Bee and be sure to grab your free-bees while you are there!

I'm gonna go craft now before I lose my mind :) Happy crafting!

P.S. I'm working on a little something to make an announcment that I've been keeping from my bloggy friends this past week. You may already know but I'll make it official very soon I promise :)
